Burch Hall, Chardonnay, Les Petites Vendanges, Lodi, California 2007
100% Chardonnay. Ripe tropical fruit explodes from the glass. The fruit is forward, rich, and mouth-coating. The finish is still fresh and bright, with hints of lime; kiwi and spice linger on the palate. In the past 10 years, the Central Coast has grown into a world-class wine region. Growers sell much of their grapes to wineries throughout California, many of which are premium award-winning wines. Ideal with: salmon tartare, goat cheese walnut salad, or flaky white fish.
