This cru was named after Julius Ceasar. Julienas growers believe that this area was the site of the first vineyards planted in Beaujolais by the Romans during the conquest of Gaul.
100% Gamay. This wine has a light body and a silky fruitiness and spiciness. There is a fine balance within this elegant red, with a lingering finish. It has ripe, aromatic flavors of cherry, blackberry, and beautifully layered violet.
